This could make a lovely pet bed...if it had a zip off cover. The description says "machine washable", which it is indeed, if you have a large enough machine. We have an 8 month old labrador, who of course comes in dirty from his walks at this time of year, no matter how much towel drying I do on the porch. Hence his bed gets dirty quite quickly. The first time I wanted to wash it, I realised it was probably too big for the machine, so I attempted to wash it in the bath, which was back-braking because of the sheer weight of it when wet. So when subsequently our adorable pup managed to get the sheet off that I had put over it in an attempt to keep it clean, and I realised it was filthy again, I decided to force it in the wahing machine. Yes, a very stupid step to take, but I couldn't bare the thought of leaning over the bath again, and waiting 48 hours for it to dry. So, it washed well in the machine, but unfortunately the cover ended up being torn slightly. I have stitched it, and now...
