Bought this for my PWD pup to aid training - in partnership with the plug in. I have to say that for us - it's not really shown it's benefits. It works for a lot of people & not for some, so do be prepared to spend out, as a trial. You have to remove the collar prior to dog swimming or bathing, however - it is a thick rubber like substance & isn't easy to keep removing & putting back on - as the thread clasp is very efficient at keeping it in place. In addition - I found that wearing the D.A.P. collar & his regular collar with lead whilst out, meant that the two would rub & the motion of the lead with the regular collar felt somewhat hindered. His fur was also becoming caught. Unfortunately I removed it after 2.5 weeks as I could no longer see a reason for keeping it on. As with most doggy bits - it's trial & error. Give it a go if you feel it may work for you.
