I bought this product a year ago and the dogs still get really excited when I get it out. Primarily it is used as a brain excerciser for 3 collies but I also use it as an excercise in discipline as 2 dogs have to stay whilst one gets to play. They all get a turn to play but have to learn to stay whilst there is a major distraction! The dogs are 13 years, 7 years and 2 years old and all enjoy it as much as the next. It's been great for the 13 year old as she can't walk as much as she used to.
Initially it took time for the dogs to work out what was required. You build the difficulty up gradually as the dog understands what is required. It's amazing that they all have their own technique for getting the treats. Good toy but a bit expensive
Living with a dog that gets bored very easily I bought this toy to keep him entertained and it does the job admirably. It won't keep your dog busy for very long, mind you. Mine is hoovering all the treats from underneath the wooden blocks in 1 minute, 20 seconds at last count. We get the toy out to calm him down when he's especially fidgetty.
The only downside is that the base is made of MDF so not exactly a nicely crafted object and the blocks are very soft pine so if you have a destructive dog they won't last too long.
