Great idea for smaller dogs. Well made, the straps just clip around the back of the car seat so its easy to put in and take out when not needed. The strap to clip onto the dog harness is a bit short (hence 4 stars) I improvised with a short dog lead looped through the hole at the back of the dog seat but still recommended.
brilliant BUT
I found this car seat brilliant for my two mini longhaired daschshunds who both get car sick sitting on the back seat. The seat enabled them to look out of the car and although we have only done short trips so far, they have not been sick since using it. The only problem I had was in trying to fit two dog seats in the back of my car as the back seat divides 1/3 and 2/3 and the straps were not long enough to go around the 2/3 seat back, they barely fitted around the front passenger seat - however after searching I found a firm that produce webbing straps to a lenght that will fit around the back seat to replace the middle strap on the booster seat.TRIXIE DOG CAR BOOSTER BED SEAT TRAVEL SAFETY PET PUPPY

My dog would ideally like to sit on my knee but this is the next best thing! It's very comfortable and easy to attach to the car seat.
Unfortunately she chewed on one of the zips and so the front panel will not stay up.
It has a convenient storage area in the base.
I haven't tried it as a bed as it hasn't been necessary but am sure it will be most comfortable.
In an ideal world it would be possible to put the whole lot in the washing machine, sadly not but at least the padded cushion can be!
