This is a good tug of war toy as your hands don't get too close to the dogs teeth. But unfortunately I let my Staffie Cross chew this toy afterwards and he ripped in apart in no time. So if it's not that strong the price seems excessive when there are cheaper items to use for tug of war.

I bought this item because I have a large dog who loves soft toys and the usual things last him just a few minutes before he has disemboweled, destuffed and shredded it into a myriad of tiny pieces all over the house. The description for this toy looked promising, the reviews looked promising, the price was rather off putting, but if it gave my boy some fun then it would be worth it.
It arrived promptly in a large box with lots of brown paper that caused much delight, if only for a few minutes, and then I showed him that the box he had just killed actually contained a new toy. Well if he could do somersaults I swear he would have and we spent a pleasant 20 minutes playing tug and catch in the garden. Suitably happy, we returned indoors and I went to make a cuppa ....BIG MISTAKE! in the space of time it takes for the kettle to boil he had destroyed this toy, ripping a large hole in it and destuffing it all over the floor. So it seems that if you have a dog who likes plush toys...
