i purchased this for my puppy, that wanted to chew everything, she took to the cage straight away which was sometime ago now, she happily goes into the cage by herselve to sleep and is not bothered by me locking her in it when we go to bed, she almost looks forward to it, it has saved alot of furniture and we could never put her up for rehoming, as it is just natural for puppies to want to chew,if this is the way you have to go to keep your puppy then dont hesitate. it is very strong, and we have a large breed and it withstands, constant knocking about and open and shutting of the doorway. great product, even better with the free bed that came with it, the only draw back is the handle is useless and we had to have a replacement, but to be honest you dont use it anyhow if it is left in the same place all the time.

Very disappointed about this dog crate as we have two others which as fab. This one is so heavy hard to move had to change the metal base as the noise of the dogs moving around very annoying. We contacted the sellers asking if they could supply a plastic one but would not. They said puppies chew the plastic bases - not in my experience. I have now got rid of it.
