My puppy (rottweiler cross) is a big enough girl to be able to carry her own supplies on walks out! Hence the rucksack. Of course she was completely paralysed when we first put it on (very amusing)! Would not get up. Would not even answer to her name! When we went out the door without her, that soon changed!! Running about no problem now. However, rucksack completely covered in mud . . . . so choose supplies carefully! Please make sure (and then re-check a number of times on each walk) that the straps are correctly adjusted as they do not have a lot of padding.
Backpack
A good tool to have for energetic dogs at a great price as most backpacks are very expensive. However it isn't waterproof and the strap broke fairly quickly although it was repairable but perhaps the price makes it worth having to deal with this lower quality. I'm relatively happy with it because of the low price and it does do the job.
Terrible product!!
This a terrible terrible product!! My border Collie is more than happy wearing it but unfortunately has only been able to 3 times before putting it in the bin!!
The first time he wore it, while on a walk to the local shop, a strap broke within minutes of getting out the front door! The second time he wore it, after it had been superglued and sewn together again, the strap on the other side broke..so repaired it in the same way again and I thought that would be the weak spots repaired. Unfortunately we used the product again over the weekend and it broke in a completely different place so it looks like this product is very poorly constructed and is not designed for use by anything that moves!
Don't buy it! Perhaps spend a little more and get something really good to start with. If your unsure about your dog 'getting on with it' i believe with positive reinforcement any dog can use a rucksack, just not this one because it is a shocking waste of money and even at...
